  19.     Are you sure you want to do that? Oh, well... Delete files
  20.     PIANO.EXE, PIANO.INI (located in your Windows directory) and
  21.     PIANODRV.DRV (located in your Windows\System directory), and
  22.     remove 'Piano MIDI Driver' through Control Panel/Drivers.

  26. What's new:

  28.     A special MIDI driver has been created, that allows Piano to
  29.     fully emulate the real keyboards. From now on you cannot
  30.     only play songs with Piano, but also record them with your
  31.     favorite MIDI software.

  33.     Also new in this version is a secondary keyboard layout that
  34.     might help you playing two hands, and of course, a lot of
  35.     other minor features.

  53.          pointer into pitch-wheel box, otherwise you have to
  54.          hold down left key to move the pitch wheel.

  60.          If checked Piano sends MIDI messages to Midi Mapper AND
  61.          to Piano MIDI Driver, otherwise messages are sent only

  69.          This is a funny feature. It is supposed to pop-up Piano
  70.          whenever your MIDI software starts recording from a
  71.          Piano MIDI Driver. In most cases it works, but there
  72.          are some programs that don't notify the Piano Driver
  73.          when they have started recording, so the Driver can't
  74.          pop-up the Piano.
  75.          This function only gives focus to the Piano when
  76.          recording is started; it cannot execute the Piano --
  77.          the Piano must already be running in the background.

  80.     - Patch caching

  82.          Enables and disables patch-caching. Sometimes, when
  83.          using Piano in conjunction with other MIDI software, it
  84.          is better to let the other software do the
  85.          patch-caching. Of course, this applies only to the
  86.          systems that support patch-caching.

  89.     - Always on Top

  91.          If checked, Piano stays a top window even if it's not
  92.          active. Might be useful with those programs that don't
  93.          support Auto Focus.

  97. Troubleshooting:

  99.     Piano says something about not being able to open MIDI-MAPPER...
  100.  
  101.       Piano wants Midi Mapper all by itself and you have another
  102.       program running that has already reserved Midi Mapper
  103.       for its own purposes. Exit that program and Piano should
  104.       work just fine.

  107.     Piano says nothing. It draws itself and then disappears...
  108.  
  109.       What you have is a mutated Piano. Get yourself a new copy
  110.       of PIANO.EXE.
  111.

  113.     Piano starts normally, but there's no sound...
  114.  
  115.       See if your sound card is in order -- try playing
  116.       CANYON.MID with MEDIA PLAYER (both part of Windows). If
  117.       you can't hear that either, there's something wrong with
  118.       your sound card setup; fix it and try Piano again. If this
  119.       is not the case and CANYON.MID plays just fine, try
  120.       changing a channel. (BTW: Do you have 'Local Echo'
  121.       enabled? If not, enable it and try again)
